Although we love all of the little details of celebrity weddings, we are extra excited for the nuputials that took place this weekend! Why, you ask? Well, for those who don’t know, Hayden Olivia Bridal is named after Miss Hayden Olivia Batt! She has recently turned 4 years old and is quite the girly girl : )….and ever since I can remember Hayden Olivia’s favorite band has been Sugarland….it is not unusual to find her dancing in her tutu and cowboy boots around the living room singing at the top of her lungs to any one of the group’s big hits! Sooo, when we found out that, lead singer, Jennifer Nettles tied the knot with long time beau Justin Miller over the weekend it tied together two of this sweet little namesake’s favorite things: Sugarland and beautiful dresses! As of right now photos from the event have not been released, however we do know that the country star walked down the aisle in an Alexander McQueen gown, which is the same designer of the famous royal wedding gown worn by Kate Middleton! And Lauren and Matthew’s incredible vintage inspired, fall event is no exception: ) Lauren is looking absolutely stunning wearing a Priscilla of Boston gown featuring an A-line silhouette and gorgeous pleated detailing throughout the bodice and leading down into the skirt. Accented with a classic, single strand of pearls and a finger tip length veil, with thin ribbon trimming, she is breathtaking with a style that transitioned perfectly from a church ceremony to the rustic setting of a fabulous barn reception! Her groom donned a classic tan suit with coordinating tie while the bridesmaids sported cowboy boots with their Jim Hjelm gowns : ) Love everything about this event…The colors, the setting and of course the amazing couple! Nikki Reed & Paul McDonald Tie the Knot

Twilight star, Nikki Reed, and American Idol contestant, Paul McDonald, began dating in April 2011 and within two short months were madly in love and planning a wedding. The happy couple finally said their “I do’s” Sunday during an intimate ceremony in Malibu, CA. With 130 of their closest family and friends in attendance, the reception that followed featured a performance by the groom himself, along with his band, Grand Magnolias. The bride wore a strapless ivory gown by Tacori with a diamond encrusted neckline and 72 inch train.

Talk about a match made in heaven, all thanks to the Mother of the Groom, Sarah and Derek became man and wife at a seaside setting in Verona Beach, FL. After a long distance relationship for the past few years the couple decided on a destination wedding to bring all of their family and friends together for a weekend of relaxation and love. Sarah chose a Jim Hjelm gown with beautifully textured detail throughout the skirt. A sweetheart neckline and gorgeous rouched bodice were given the finishing touch with a coordinating ivory sash, which flowed down the back go the dress. Sarah completed her look with a cathedral length veil accented with a silk ribbon trim as well as a pair of diamond studs and elegant strappy heels. Derek and his groomsmen donned black suits with coordinating ties for a simple and classic look. Sarah, it was an absolute pleasure working with you and we wish the two of you nothing by the best in your new life together! Congratulations : )

Emily Wallace and Ben Wood were married August 6th during a 6pm ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Salisbury, NC. The bride was absolutely stunning, choosing a timelessly romantic, fitted gown by Modern Trousseau. Emily’s gown was constructed of an ivory French lace, which was strategically placed as an overlay to the ivory silk satin beneath. The satin was uniquely exposed along the neckline and hem, and in carefully chosen areas throughout the skirt. Paired with a finger-tip length veil, trimmed in coordinating lace, and donning a simple diamond necklace and earrings, her completed look was elegant, classic and absolutely gorgeous! Following the ceremony the newlyweds joined family and friends for a reception held at the Historic Salisbury Depot. They honeymooned in Turks and Caicos and are now settling into their new life together in Winston-Salem, NC. Emily, we loved every minute of working with you and wish you both a life full of happiness together!

These Are A Few of Our Favorite Things : )

I love browsing for great ideas online, and often times I find myself saving things simply because they are fabulous, however they can’t necessarily hold their own….sooo, I add them to my list of favorite things which I love sharing with you! It can be the simplest little detail in a photo that you come across that will plant a seed for ideas to help you create a style all your own! So without further adieu…my most recent collection of faves : )

I absolutely adore this breaktaking gown by Alexander McQueen. Just enough unique detail to really catch your eye yet still traditional and elegant enough to be recognized as a wedding gown.

Overall, a stunning wedding party although it was the unique attire of the groomsmen that caught my eye! I love that the groom is more traditional in a suit while his bow tie coordinates with the groomsmen who are a slightly more laid back in cardigan sweaters. Something unexpected and charming…LOVE it!

What a FABULOUS pair of heels?!? These babies will definitely make a statement and would look stunning with a simply yet sexy gown! Not sure it gets more girly than this : )

To say that grey is a popular color for weddings this season would be an understatement, however it is definitely a bit more rare to see this elegant hue presented in the bridal gown! Although not traditional in the least the combination of fabrics, textures and silhouette make this gown by Vera Wang an instant show-stopper!

If you haven’t figured this out yet, probably one of my favorite trends in the the bridal industry as of late is the unexpected! The combination of two elements that only a keen eye for styling can pull together and make look fabulous! This is an incredible example! The casual, laid back and somewhat masculine feel of the plaid shirt with the giant bow and super girly layers of tulle making up the skirt create a very pleasing combination and makes for one fabulous photo!

The idea of coming up with custom handmade dresses for your bridesmaids cna be somewhat frightening and quite honestly does not always produce results that are this beautiful! What a great combination of materials and love the unique in each dress! By sticking with soft muted colors the the many different textures and hues work together well to create a cohesive style throughout…the result: lovely frocks for your lovely ladies : )

A Look We LOVE!

We have mentioned the popular trend of mismatched bridemaids’ gowns several times over the past few months and how beautifully the wedding party attire works together when there is all that extra detail within the same color family. Well, I was browsing online and came across, probably, one of the best examples of combining neutrals to create an incredibly gorgeous style for your ladies in waiting! The perfection of this look just goes to show that the possibilities are endless and uniqueness doesn’t have to mean being totally off the wall : )

The combinations of these patterns and hues is genius! Many may think that choosing a neutral palette limits the possiblities and can create a dull look over all…well if this isn’t proof of that being a myth I don’t know what is!?! The texture of the flowing skirts along with the unexpected pattern of the gown worn by, who I am going to assume is, the maid/matron of honor and the mix of shades within the beige/nude color family with pops of black, pulled together is AMAZING!

Miss Jennifer Reynolds became Mrs. Jennifer Carlisle during a 6:30pm ceremony, June 25th, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, SC. The stunning bride wore a old-shoulder gown by Coren Moore with ruffle detailing, a sweetheart neckline and trumpeted silhouette. Paired with a fabulous pair of Kate Spade heels and simple stud earrings the bride danced the night away in style! Her groom donned a custom made tuxedo by Astor & Black and bridesmaids shined in stunning yellow dresses by Lula Kate. The ceremony, followed by reception at The City Club of Rock Hill, were coordinated and directed by Sarah Lynn Hayes of Events Per Se. Congratulations to Jennifer and Jeb! We enjoyed every second of assisting you with the selection of your gorgeous gown! You make a beautiful bride and we wish you two all the best in your new life together : )

Kim Kardashian’s Fantasy Wedding Gown

Although no definite date has been confirmed in regards to the upcoming nuptials of Kim Kardashian and NBA star Kris Humphries, it has been reported that the much anticipated event will be taking place within the next two weeks, most likely August 20th. It has also been announced that Kim’s gown will be custom designed by long time family friend, Vera Wang, who also designed sister Khloe Kardashian Odom’s wedding gown.

Although not the official designer of the gown that will show off those world renowned curves, Anne Barge, along with several other well-known designers, has submitted a sketch of a gown that she believes fits Kim’s body type and style. “I wanted to evoke Kim’s high-fashion sense of style and marry it with a gown that screamed bridal, not eveningwear,” says Anne Barge. Her vision: a mermaid fit, trimmed in ivory French lace and embellished with organza petals and beading. The gown as a soft feminine style with a sexy silhouette that will show off Kardashian’s famous assets. Mark + Jen: That’s Amore

Jen Taylor and Mark Ledbetter wed in an intimate ceremony in Florence, Italy, May 5th, 2011. The beautiful bride wore the gorgeous T-length “Josephine” by Stephanie James. The gown has many traditional elements such as the lace overlay, capped sleeves and full skirt, while still exuding show-stopping uniqueness. The hand dyed silk ribbon which forms a perfect bow around Jen’s waist is a fun yet sophisticated feature to the dress. The blush tones of the under layer, which peaks through the lace, compliment the beautiful waist detailing as well. Jen completed her look with a bird cage veil and a pair of fabulous nude open-toe heels. The perfect look in the perfect setting! Congratulations and best wishes to the lovely couple!

Look We LOVE: Couture + Cardigan

Many of the trends that we are currently seeing in wedding design and attire are bringing a slightly casual and a definite feeling of comfort to traditionally formal affair. Open any wedding magazine and you will see tons of bold colors, ordinary flowers made into extraordinary bouquets, suits instead of tuxedos, undone hair styles and my favorite, lots of fun accessorizing of the gown! The addition of over sized, interesting jewelry pieces has been a big hit among brides, however I have recently noticed more and more ladies adding a cozy cardigan or colorful sweater during the reception to bring the formality of the event down a notch…and it looks fabulous! Here are a few beautiful brides whose addition of a colorful cardi gives personality to their look and makes for stunning photos : )

Nick & Vanessa Tie the Knot!

The date and location of the Lachey/Minnillo nuptials have remained hush-hush, however the cats out of the bag! The couple wed Friday, July 15th in an intimate ceremony with 35 guests in attendance. The setting of the beautiful event was a private location in the British Virgin Islands. Other than for obvious reasons of desired privacy the couple has also kept their wedding day details under wraps for the sake of “Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding” scheduled to debut on TLC July 30th at 9pm ET. Although very minimal details were revealed over the weekend there were a few photos that were leaked of some of our favorite wedding day features : ) Here are a few shots of the dress, the suit and the lovely couple!

Few photos have been released of Minnillo’s ceremony gown, however we did come across images of her both entering the ceremony with her father and exiting shortly after with Nick. It looks like she chose a silhouette with a full shirt and layered pick-up detailing. The bodice appears to be designed with a look similar to a corset, a sweetheart neckline and lace detailing. She completed the look with a simple cathedral length veil.

Prior to the reception Minnillo changed into an above-the-knee lace party dress and paired it with a black sash and black heels, coordinating with Nick’s all black ensemble.

Tune in to TLC July 30th at 9pm ET for a two hour feature on Nick and Vanessa’s big day and all that led up to it : )

Monica’s Extravagant Wedding Gown

R&B singer, Monica wed LA Lakers player, Shannon Brown, for a second time on July 9th during an extravagant ceremony in Los Angeles, CA. The couple was married in a quickie ceremony back in November and chose to celebrate the nuptials again, this time including 340 of their closest family and friends. There were several beautiful details of the event that are worth mentioning, but none as fabulous as the gown worn by the bride. The gorgeous fit and flare couture gown, designed by Stephane Rolland, included a corseted bodice along with twisted satin and organza detailing that led into the over-the-top train, embellished in hundreds of crystals. Monica accessorized her show-stopping frock with $1 million worth of jewels from Joel Rosenberg. Needless to say, this was no low-key affair and no expense was spared to create the perfect day for the lovely couple!
