We are so sorry for the lack of blog love these past 2 weeks.  The week of the DNC was full of planning for NYC Bridal Market in October, setting up winter and early spring trunk shows and events and of course some R&R with our families and friends!  This week we have been back full force and it feels like there have been a million final fittings…that means these next few weekends are going to be jam packed with gorgeous weddings…we need footage and pictures please!  When we send a bride on her way knowing that her big day is only a few days away…we get butterflies!  All of the decisions and preparations…eeek!  Congratulations to all of the excited couples!  As far as boutique news…please follow our events calendar, new website updates are just around the corner and we will be announcing a few new designers joining the HOB family!  Cheers to a great weekend ahead!

New arrivals means fresh current styles for you to try on during your upcoming appointment.  Here are a few of the latest arrivals…excited to get started…in our opinion it starts with the dress, just after the ring of course!

What should your ring bearer wear?  We are often asked what to put the little guys in!  You want them to look like themselves, yet it is so fun the “dress them up!”  Considering the romper to match to flower girl waring a smocked dress?  Considering a tux to match the wedding party?  How about all white or matching the grooms…the ideas are endless.  Tell us how you plan to dress the little man on your big day?

Preparations have started and the excitement is high in anticipation of the Jim Hjelm trunk show collection arriving this week!  This weekend has been booked for some time, however we will do everything possible to fit each and every bride in, please place your name on our waist list asap!  Its a must to slip into these styles before making a final gown decision for your big day!  Can’t wait to meet all of our excited brides this week and weekend! Trunk show appointment will be Thursday-Saturday at the boutique.

After working with a very stylish bride yesterday I was reminded once again of how simple it is to change the look of a gown with a simple sash and broach or sash and BOW!  Instead of tying the bow in the back- we tied the bow in the front off to one side and added a gorgeous swarovski broach…stunning!  Here are several ways to sash it with a bow!  Are you wearing a sash?

We are amazed at the “oh my goodness” styles of shoes that continue to come through our doors (elevator) each week for gown fittings…the shoe companies have gotten on board…or maybe brides have gotten brave.  Are you wearing a colored shoe or a shoe with a bow, feather, flower or broach?  I am so impressed…gone with the standard ivory bridal shoe and in with the pretties that are sure to impress!
